Like others said....this is splendid for a kids room, but we also used it for ours as well.The low setting really isn't that loud, and the high setting is a splendid 'colorless noise' maker for kiddos (or hubbies that are used to the signal of a fan during summer months ;p).And even as this may not be the greatest humidifier ever, it is kind of a 'get what you pay for' scnerio.Ie for us, at least, it was money well spent.

I am frequently pleased with this humidifier. We actually purchased two of them and they do a good job of bringing the damp in the bedrooms up from 27% when we go to bed to about 54% when we get up. It is very easy to clean and fill. My only gripe about it is that the fan motor does not everlastingly seem to run at a relentless speed. I'm able to hear a affront "zroom... zroom" noise that I have vex falling sleeping to. No one else in the house can hear this sound and consequently they think it's a great white noise apparatus. So maybe only super insightful sleepers will be bothered by the up and down sound of the fan. The good news is that it doesn't do it all of the time and by daylight it seems to have evened out. But the damp is actually great.

In the past, I've bought heated humidifiers and cool mist humidifiers. This business is just a spongey "filter" business that soaks up fill up, with a fan that blows air around it. That's why it calls it self a "NATURAL cool mist humidifier" with a claim of an "automatic moisture weigh logic." Since it's not like the cool mist humidifiers you're thinking of. This is basically a $35 (at my local hardware pile) fan with a dish of fill up. That's right, persons, the automatic moisture weigh logic is that the fill up is just allowable to disappear. And as the humidity in the room rises, the quantity of fill up evaporating into the air falls. Since knowledge.So it force in fact be good for a small bedroom, since it is a nice white blast machine on the low setting, and since it's just let the fill up disappear, you won't get that business with regular humidifiers where the walls are soaked in perspiration in the chill.Buuuuut yeah, two stars since you can just buy a fan and set out a bowl of fill up in front of it. And it would be easier to clean, and you wouldn't need to buy replacement filters.

I bought this humidifier because I exposed in the apartment construction I just stirred into, the heat makes the air in the apartment construction very dry. I wake up every cold daylight with a dry mouth and my allergies bothering me.I unbendable to hold this for my bedroom just to run at nocturnal. My bedroom is probably 20' by 30', not very high ceilings, and even with this humidifier on high all nocturnal, I don't see a difference. Plus, it is very loud on the high setting, almost at loud as an air conditioner. I also have a hard time believing that the tank is actually 2 gallons. I place of safeguard't measured, but it barely seems 1 gallon in size.It is advertised that it will last 3 full nights per fill up, but that is on the low setting, and only if you take a nap 6-7 hours a nocturnal. I'm sure it may work for a smaller room, probably a good buy for a brood room, but not for any place to stay that are even ordinary in size. By and large, go for a better and quieter humidifier, even if you have to pay a modest extra cash.

We ordered two more of these since we had been so happy with a Honeywell that is the exact same, just different first name. Puts made known plenty of humidity on the low setting and more than we need at the high setting. It's addict is a bit loud, but since we single use it while sleeping, its sound doesn't bother us at all. Would highly recommend for the price.

League sources tell TMZ Sports ... Wong was ejected from the game 3 to 5 minutes after the spraying incident for "taunting the players" and it was while he was being escorted out of the arena that he began to rub his eyes, complaining about the pain.

We're told Wong filed a report with police before leaving the arena.

We spoke with LAPD Media Relations spokesperson Sally Madera who tells us, "A battery report was taken and the incident is under investigation."

We reached out to Crawford's camp for comment. So far, no word back.

Fox News Network anchor Gregg Jarrett, who was arrested in a bar at Minneapolis-St.Paul Airport, may have been under the influence of medication that did not mix well with alcohol, a police report says, according to the Associated Press.

The 59-year-old Jarrett was arrested Wednesday afternoon at Northern Lights Grill in Terminal One, according to Metropolitan Airports Commission spokesman Patrick Hogan, KARE-TV reports.

Airport police, who were called to the bar, reported that Jarrett seemed intoxicated, acted belligerently and refused to follow their orders.

A bar employee said Jarrett became intoxicated after only one drink, AP reported. He allegedly told a customer he took medication before his flight, but Jarrett denied the statement when questioned by police.

Police found gabapentin pills in his pocket, according to the report. When officers searched Jarretts bag it was revealed he was recently released from an alcohol and chemical dependency treatment facility.

Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant used to treat conditions ranging from epilepsy to restless leg syndrome, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine. Strange or unusual thoughts and drowsiness are listed as potential side effects of the medication. Alcohol may add to the drowsiness, the Library of Medicine adds.

In some cases people taking gabapentin may become suicidal, and there is a risk a user may experience changes in their mental health, including aggressive, angry, or violent behavior.

According to the Star-Tribune, the police report also said that Jarrett, at one point, became increasingly agitated and swore as the arresting officer as fire department personnel began evaluating his medical condition.

As the officer was trying to re-handcuff the newsman, Jarrett allegedly grabbed the officers arm. Struggling to get Jarrett cuffed, other officers helped subdue the inmate, who was then driven to jail in downtown Minneapolis, the newspaper reports.

A Fox News spokeswoman said Jarrett, who has not been on the air since mid-April, is dealing with serious personal issues and his return to the air has yet to be determined.

We were made aware late last night that Gregg Jarrett was arrested in Minneapolis yesterday and charged with a misdemeanor, the statement says. He is dealing with serious personal issues at this time. A date at which Gregg might return to air has yet to be determined.

The newsman was booked into Hennepin County Jail and charged with interfering with a peace officer, a misdemeanor.

County jail records show that Jarrett posted $300 bail and is scheduled for a court appearance on June 6. He was released at 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

The website TVNEWSER reported this month that Jarrett, a weekend co-anchor, was taken off the air recently after requesting a leave of absence for personal reasons.

The veteran newsman, who was born in Los Angeles, worked at MSNBC before joining Fox in 2002.

Jarrett, who also worked at CNBC and Court TV, has covered stories ranging from the Iraq War to the O.J. Simpson trial.

I purchased this unit at Walmart (Ohio) for $42.oo. I also bought a bag of drug to put in the tank, and they cost $3 and will last atleast a couple months I am sure. I love how calm down this tank is and the unit itself is very beautiful, not great like some of the apparatus that just look like a big health check apparatus. I actually like the sleek look of this one. It says it is for a medium room and I reflect that is true. I put this in my livingroom during the day, which is generous, and it's not quite enough to eliminate static 100%. I do notice my nose doesn't burn any longer and here is no static in my (or families) hair any longer, but I did get shocked /w static electricity when I went to exchange settings on my ceiling fan today, lol. My fault since it says medium roon, not generous (or extra generous). At night, I carry this into my bedroom and the room is tiny and this is more than enough misting and I am hoping that my scalp will not be so itchy in time. That and static and burning nose are main reasons I bought it. I love that I can SEE alot of mist appearance from this! If I can't see it, I by no means reflect they work. I'm optimistic about this unit and I just purchased it recently. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING with all cool mist humidifiers is DO NOT BE LAZY when it comes to conception the maintenence equipment. As far as I know, this one only requires a good emptying every other day, and wipe it dry as best you can, and ONCE A WEEK, soak the surrounded by tank with a mild improve and fill up mix. The organizers of Operation American Spring dont really expect their demonstration to dislodge some of the nations top elected officials.

At least, not right away.

When a large chunk of the populace is saying youre not getting the job done and you have to step down, the House and the Senate have to elect new leadership, that should send a message, said Alex Coffey, who identified himself as marketing director for the group but insisted he was just a foot soldier.

The organization plans to launch a sustained, Occupy Wall Street-style demonstration Friday in Washington, D.C., to voice their concerns about the direction of the country and its leadership.

Were not trying to overthrow anything, were just saying we the people should have the ability to address our grievances, Coffey told The Raw Story.

However, group members have been asking their representatives to draft articles of impeachment based on alleged wrongdoing by Obama in Benghazi, modifications made without congressional approval to the Affordable Care Act, and IRS targeting of conservative groups.

Without a doubt, thats a must, Coffey said of impeachment. Were not going to go out there and shove him out of office, thats silliness.

Over the long term, Coffey said, the group anticipates the incremental nullification over the next five years by state legislatures of all federally imposed taxes, and some members are urging their state lawmakers to call a convention of the states to amend the Constitution.

I look at my oath of enlistment theres no expiration date on that, said Coffey, a 15-year military veteran who now works as an information technology contractor for the Department of Defense.

Group members have claimed anywhere from 10 million to 30 million people will show up in the capital to demand the removal of President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Attorney General Eric Holder, Sens. Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell, and Reps. John Boehner and Nancy Pelosi.

The protest is named and patterned after the Arab Spring uprising that overturned the Egyptian government.

Operation American Spring is like a firewall to stop the noise and slow things down, like a corporation bringing in a new CEO for a change of direction, Coffey said.

Where similar protests intended to drive Obama from office ended the same day they began, Operation American Spring expects many participants to stick around until their presence is noticed.

If somehow, with the snap of a finger, these knuckleheads in Congress started caring about the American people, people would see that and businesses would see that, and the economy would turn around, Coffey said.

Coffey recognizes 10 million participants would be a lofty goal, but he said the figure was based on the unverified estimate that 3 percent of Americans participated in the Revolutionary War and also inspired the name of an anti-government extremist group that would refuse to voluntarily disarm.

Operation American Spring organizers, however, insist participants disarm before coming to Washington, which bars the possession of firearms in public.

The Communist forces that control Washington DC do not recognize the 2nd Amendment and have banned all weapons and ammunition from the district, the group says in its rules of engagement. Do not give them the opportunity to arrest you and prosecute you. Leave your guns and ammo within the safe proximity of a free state. When the government is changed constitutionally so will the laws in Washington DC.

The group instead urges participants to carry Bibles and copies of the Constitution, although the rules of engagement twice mention that protesters may defend themselves.

Of course your 2nd Amendment Rights are God given and no man can disarm you but at this point we must follow the rules laid out by the Communists until we vote them out of office, the rules state. You do have a right to self defense.

Coffey said he flatly denied a request by one group from out west that wanted to march into Washington carrying firearms, and he advocated revisions to the rules of engagement to de-emphasize the right to self defense.

But hey, youre not going to be sheeple and get run over, he said. You have a right to protect yourself, just not with weapons.

Groups from California, Florida, and South Carolina have already arrived in northern Virginia, Coffey said, and some of their members attended his local chapters weekly meeting Wednesday night to discuss escape routes in case of trouble during the demonstration.

We fully expect there to be agitators, you know, starting trouble, Coffey said.

He said hes met with members of Occupy Wall Street, as well as the Anonymous hacktivist group, and found they shared common concerns particularly the government-backed bailout of banks deemed too big to fail.

I lean conservative, but Im not so brainwashed not to see the other side has good ideas, said Coffey, who conceded he wouldnt budge in his opposition to abortion. I wont compromise on that, but there are a lot of areas I can see the other side of and find common ground.

In particular, he said his Christian faith encouraged him to support a stronger safety net for the most vulnerable Americans.

It pierced my heart, broke my heart when Obama said were no longer a Christian nation, Coffey said.

He said his local chapter opened each meeting with a prayer, and his study of historical documents had convinced him that the United States was founded on Judeo-Christian values.

Its only been since post-9/11 that weve even had this issue of people being slighted, Coffey said. I wouldnt go to a Muslim country and try to change the DNA of that country.

Still, he insists that Operation American Spring is not explicitly Christian.

God doesnt exclude and we dont exclude, said Coffey. Thank God were not all white. I like a little color.

Coffey said he became active in Operation American Spring because some of its mission statements resonated with him, and hes cautiously optimistic about what it will accomplish.

We have both this one and the larger Vicks Vaporizer at our house. Both work very well, start steaming right gone, last all night without running out of water and have the nice medicine cup that is super-easy to use. My only little problems with this are:1. The larger develop has little indentations to help you lift the steam element off. This develop doesn't, which makes it a little tricky to refill if there is medicine in the medicine cup.2. Neither develop has an on/off switch - it's plugged in and on, or not. After my daughter was born, we purchased this for her room. I'm surprised to read all the complaints about this humidifier, because it's a cheap, low maintanance item! I must admit, that after 5 years of use (used anytime the furnace is on) and with little or no cleaning, it's doing just fine! We have hard water and we do have a softener, so no salt is needed. As soon as we fill it up and plug it in, the thing starts boiling away, QUIETLY. The directions say it lasts 18-24 hours, but in reality, it doesn't with our water. The more mineral deposits and salt in the water, the faster it boils out of the tank. No smells, no colorless residue, just easy to use and no parts to exchange. In the morning, we take it to the sink, dump out the black specks of mineral deposits (THIS IS NORMAL) and refill it for the next night.I like the idea of the boiling water butchery germs. We don't have any cream or gunk filling up the tank like our other evaporative humidifier. I love the cup on the top for medicine placement. I buy a huge bottle of essential oil of eucalyptus, and pour some in the cup when someone in the family is sick. Works like a charm!When it's time to exchange this one, I would not hesitate to buy another. It's a very basic humidifier that raises the damp quickly. I would buy the largest model of this type. Considering the horrible reviews on the other models, it doesn't seem to be worth buying anything else. Even if something goes wrong with it, it really isn't that much of a problem considering the cost of the unit.UPDATE: Shortly after I wrote the review, my unit stoppped working. It had a great run!
