The euphoria over Lupita Nyong'o's appearance on People's "50 Most Beautiful" list was still swirling on the Interwebs when word came, a mere four days later, that Time's "100 Most Influential" issue was on newsstands. Staring out at us was Beyonc Knowles Carter, dressed in what appears to be a white two-piece bathing suit with a see-through cover-up.

Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg did the honors: "Beyonc has insisted that girls 'run the world' and declared, 'I'm not bossy, I'm the boss.' She raises her voice both on- and off-stage to urge women to be independent and lead."

Unlike Nyong'o's appearance, which seemed to signal in a straightforward manner that beauty comes in all shades and colors, Beyonc's Time cover might raise more questions than it answers: More influential than, say, Michelle Obama? Scores of postings on social media by women and men wondered aloud what kind of message the cover sends young women and girls: Wear what you want, just do your job? I'm so powerful I can wear what I choose, and this is what I choose? I don't mind objectifying myself as long as I'm choosing to do that?

Don't hate, celebrate, urges The Root's Demetria Lucas. How often do black women get this kind of positive visibility from the mainstream media? Lucas writes:

I'm far from being Beyonc's biggest fan though I love the latest album but it's hard to argue that she doesn't have the influence to earn that Time cover spot. I expected people to try to argue against it anyway, because, well, that's what the Internet is there for. But nope, folks surprised me. Instead, everyone's talking about what Beyonc looks like on the Time cover, as if she's over there with Nyong'o on People's "Most Beautiful" cover.

I have to ask, though: Should it really matter what she looks like?

As Lucas suggests, Beyonc runs an empire. She's a powerful wife of a powerful man and the mother of a baby who has received at least as much attention as North West and maybe more than little Prince George (in the States, anyway). On the other hand, it's hard to imagine that Jeff Bezos or Pope Francis (they're on the inside) would have agreed to appear on Time's cover in a Speedo.

Will Bey's two-piece appearance sell lots of issues for Time? Of course. Will it generate lots of chat? Of course? Did the magazine take several portraits, then decide Bey's was The One? Most probably or maybe One of The Ones, as they often do multiple covers for this issue and release them concurrently. But be honest: Who would pull your eye to the cover more Beyonc or Charlie Rose? (Yep, he's inside, too.)

What does it mean that two widely read Time Inc. magazines put black women on their covers in the same week? Maybe nothing. Maybe it's just happenstance. (And maybe we should be focusing on the fact that when invited to nominate people to the "100 Most Influential," readers suggested Laverne Cox, the transgender actress who shines in the hit Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. Yet, no cover.)

As usual, it might pay to follow the money: cosmetics, soft drinks, cellphones Bey's been paid to promote all of them. And they all buy ads. In magazines.

Went to HOme depot and got the sets (upstairs and downstairs) I needed. And glad I did. They ran hard to keep 42 %. The ones I ordered work well again. I fitted a set up to check. Now I am set for 2 1/2 yrs Very happy to get much less than Home Depot.

My wife and I agree that it would be impossible for anyone with a normal nose not to notice. Roughly 1.5 million Armenians were killed starting in 1915 amid the chaotic collapse of the Ottoman Empire.

The Honeywell is VERY quiet on the buck background. The water tank is smaller than on other humidifiers I owned, but it is light to carry when full and easy to fill up. It is also easy to clean. The humidifier is recommended by Consumer Intelligence and according to them it has an exceptional productivity and is very well-methodical. My only complaint is that it does not have an compulsory shut-off with a humidistat. I would be keen to pay a bit more to have this map. I love this humidifier. I just ordered a extra one to replace an old one I bought last time that I didn't take care of. It lasted 16 months lacking EVER being cleaned... I didn't bother to read the instructions on keeping care of it. Flush after 16 months, the absorbtion pad was in pretty good shape. However, we single use distilled water. I ended up needing to buy a extra one because the underneath of the element was cracked and damaged. I single thought to check because it just recently started making more noise than usual. The reason it is cracked on the bottom also probably has to do with me forgetting to turn it off and it running made known of water. Flush even if it turns itself off, after being on all nighttime and time, and being confined to a small space, the heating element will be hot and probably dried made known the plastic since it didn't have any water to absorp the excitement when cooling. Therefore the cracking. Overall, this is a great product and I am bowled over at the reviews. I wouldn't be buying another one if I didn't think it was worth it. Again, the single reason I am replacing mine is because I did NOT take care of the first one. And when I display I had it for 16 months, I mean it ran every nighttime, for 16 months honest, lacking being cleaned. I think that is pretty darn up good... can't wait to think it over how long it will last with me taking better care of it.I did research other units but liked this one so much that I had to get on to another. I like the big reservoir because I don't have to refill it every nighttime and I already have owned the product so I know what to expect. I probably won't clean this extra element but maybe once a week. I did buy superfluous absorption sleeves and think I might use two and switch them made known every week when I clean it.
