Honeywell QuietCare 3-Gallon UV Tower Humidifier, HCM-300T Shopper Reviews

Bought this arresting element with high expectations single to be let not working tricky. This element is absolutely non-functional except you keep it in a tub and fill up it double a day. You admit how gravity facility aptly? Use your have control ended and pause on the tide trail. Fill up on top -- air vehicle on bottom. Set it on the stump the at the initiation calculate I old it and not extra than 30 outline shortly here was a generous puddle from all of the fill up that comes spitting out of the vehicle once the wick is waterlogged. Here's not anything calm down about it. Maybe calm down compared to a box fan or a low-expense dishwasher but its not a in tears you'd aspire to impart a opportunity with. Additional subdue the UV filtration is a total gimmick. If you commence it you will discover the tiny modest bulb surrounded by. Looks skilled if you've by no means seen an real UV bactericide. I have one for our aquarium and it must be 50 era better. Positives? Water supply it sure did suggest itself in a sweet box and looked splendid previous to I twisted it on.

Exceptional manufactured goods!! Features that I especiallly liked were: 3 fan speeds; humidity "thermostat" that shuts the system off as desired level of humidity is reached; UV to eradicate germs and additional polutants; clean air filter (both help including my asthma condition); no mist mist - humidity is invisibly added; quiet fan; easy fill and exchange 3 gal. container; replacement filters economical and straightforwardly establish. To date (after sigificant use) I be inflicted including establish nothing negative in this area this manufactured goods.

ProsHumidity increased 10% all over the roomBig tank.Generous hole to fill tank.Small footprintNo dustLooks good compared to most.Splendid price for such a big improvement.ConsFilter needed changing within 1 month.Breeze from fan is quite chilly, but we have it facing a management away from seating area.Putting the tank back can be a modest cumbersome. It's easier if it is on a low go up.Difficult to maneuver to fill tank because it has a slanted top, you any have to prop it up or hold it the whole time.We have tried 10+ humidifiers and nothing could compete with this, even a $200+ humidifier. Considering how much better the house feels it was worth each penny plus more.

The only clear thing I can say in this area this humidifier is that it looks best than those big boxy ones. Oh, and I guess the fact that ours hasn't leaked on the floor (like some additional reviewers be inflicted including had) may possibly be considered a clear. It ordinarily doesn't flush continue a total nighttime before running out of water - and it's not like I be in this planet in the desert...our house can't be THAT dry. Yet, the opportunity is soothe dry and we soothe wake up including sore throats and dry skin. We've had additional humidifiers that worked fine, and I'm noticing that those ordinarily shot the humidified air out the top (you know...into the air!). This one shoots the humidified air out effectively the floor, so it would take 3 days for the opportunity to fill including humid air. The thing rarely shuts off unless the further than air is more humid on that fastidious day. Speaking of shutting off...doesn't this thing be inflicted including an involuntary push to off as it runs out of water?? Ours NEVER shuts off, so as it runs out of water the fan dries up the filter (which you aren't supposed to do). So every nighttime I be inflicted including to refill the reservoir and re-soak the filter (which you're also not supposed to do, but I'm not putting in a new $10 filter every nighttime). We haven't been troubled by the blast...it's what you'd guess from any additional fan. It's just a continuous hum that we kind of like since it drowns out additional further than noises.

We bought two of these in fall 06. With two months use, one of the units had a fan obstruction. It ran stridently for a few days former to the obstruction, then disturb a curfew to a halt. I called Kaz's customer benefit (the Honeywell name is accredited), and they unbendable to send me a new one free. With five months use, the following unit disastrous in exactly the same way. This time, customer benefit vital me to pay $20 for a new one to be shipped, and they vital in each case the restore of the defective one at my cost for shipping. They are austerely NOT lasting! We now have one in benefit, with the additional as a backing in view of the fact that we anticipate a manufactured goods obstruction this chill. One additional business: they are tiresome to plan to fill. The fill up chamber has a bent underneath so it will not sit flat in your sink. You have to weigh it with one hand, and run the faucet and put on the lid with the additional. This top defect is SO evident it makes you marvel how gathering followed form in manufactured goods top. You also need a positively deep sink or a tall spigot to fill it without tipping it and spilling. The big conundrum is exasperating in view of the fact that you need to fill it at nominal amount double day after day. As far as ability to dampen, it facility practically well, and is positively calm down. But I wouldn't urge this unit at all with income with it.

After conception the previous assessor's observations I was reasonably surprised. This humidifier changed the damp in my entire 1 bedroom apartment building early 48% to 60% in a reduced amount of than 1 hour. It release uses 1/2 of the tank of water over a 15-hr period. I didn't experience a browning tank or filter, even if I to the top the tank with filtered water persistently so it wouldn't be inflicted with to be cleaned as regularly. I hardly see it as it cycles on since it is so calm down. It does sequence on and off save pro usually stays on pro in this vicinity 60-90 min and at that time off pro the constant amount of time. Perhaps the last assessor didn't see a exchange in damp since his room was already at 60% - this is the high regulate the humidifier can reach according to the manufacturer. There are no wet spots on my stump, no reduction on the windows, and no colorless dust early metals in the water mist. The release thing I was a modest disappointed in this vicinity is with the intention of if the fan is facing you, it can get on to you a modest chilly, save pro not enough to really disturb me. It was extremely easy to fit up, and I tenderness with the intention of it doesn't look be fond of an awkward amount meeting in the middle of the room. Would definitely recommend it lacking reservation.

We be inflicted including had to hurl this humidifier in trade to the supplier because each once in a little it empties the full reservoir onto the floor. Hopefully, this conundrum can be flat exhaust because it really did a skilled career of humidifying our household and it was relatively calm down.

I've owned loads of humidifiers ended the being and this one is by far the most terrible. I eventually returned it to the pile and at this calculate are the reasons why: 1) Flush on distinguished, it struggled to care for my mean mass bedroom damp enough. 2) At nominal amount double it started to leak from the in trade for categorically no mind. Approximately calculate ago as it happened, it wasn't flush in succession. 3) The damp air appearance from the bottom caused the carpet to be constantly damp and eventually stinky, but maybe this was leak I only wasn't considering as it happened. 4) Extremely near every calculate I put the reservoir in trade including big it, a spray/mist of fill up came out the adjoin and ended again, onto the carpet. 5) The filters got smelly way closer than habitual. I be inflicted including nothing skilled to say in this vicinity this humidifier and Honeywell should be ashamed of themselves for not difficult their top better. I now own a Holmes humidifier.

As I initially started looking for a humidifier (my partner's asthma tended to flare up in coughing fits of laughter as the damp dropped), I realized that there seemed to be no such thing as a "perfect humidifier"! With reading owing to as loads of reviews as doable, I realized that I wanted one that needed minimal cleaning, was pretty easy to fill, wasn't too loud and did a job of raising the damp for a fairly large vicinity (about 1200 sq.ft) without leading to additional side equipment (micro dust, mold and bacteria proliferation etc.). With ruling out "lukewarm mist humidifiers" due to the heavy cleaning needs, "ultrasonic humidifiers" due to the micro dust generation, and "in line humidifiers" due to the intensive upfront installation labor requirements, I settled on the "cool mist" HCM-300T. It promised calm down surgical course of action, cleaning needs of only approximately calculate ago a month (the UV light is supposed to reduce 99% of bacteria growth) and the capability to dampen "medium to large" areas - as for the big, I had occur to the finish that no portable humidifier would help that day after day chore! The HCM-300T worked pretty well for the initially 3 weeks - partner loved it since her sleep was much best, without any coughing whatsoever. Though, given the absence of a built-in hygrometer, I could never figure out just so how much of the work was being done by the HCM and how much by Mother Scenery. Also, big the water container each night twisted out to be reasonably the juggling encounter since it hasn't been designed to stand upright on its own ....in additional terms, you are vacant to have to be permanent right beside it, land it in position! On the positive side, the water seemed to stay fresh without any mold/bacteria, even though I didn't engage in any cleaning all owing to the 3 weeks. Though, all owing to Week 4, even as moving the water container back with a refill, the lid came off (unfortunately it has been designed such that the handle of the water container is on the lid!) and the container chop not working into the tub with a thud, waking up my worried partner! On further inspection, I didn't see any leaks, so having reassured my partner that I hadn't broken any bones, I refilled the container, delicately moving it back to the base element. To my shock, as the element was switched on, water started spraying out of the underside of the element owing to the slots that normally cool moist air flows owing to and quickly I had water all over the carpeting. Not guaranteed whether this was triggered by the fall, but the water leakage never bunged from at that calculate on. Needless to say I had to return the element!!Based on this encounter, I have added three more items to my "must-have" catalog: a built in hygrometer (that way I can in detail reconcile performance on those really dry days), a rugged water container (so it can outlast the tumbles that I am particular it will be compelling!) and a element that has its air outflow from the top very than the underside, making guaranteed that water doesn't leak out due to gravity. Wish me luck!!

I have gone owing to number of different make and models of humidifier last year that ranged from 10-80$ lacking satisfaction. My wife and I had brutal problem of sore-throats and skin dryness due to heat lacking humidity in my apartment construction complex. This year I saw this unit at a retail shop and purchased it to give it a try. And it works splendid. It humidifies our room of 14X13 well enough. If you are looking for large town home or apartment construction humidifier look for the kenmore in sears. This one is good for single large size roomIt does make some noise but not that much to bother our take a nap. My wife is 8 month pregnant and she loves this business. Sore throats are gone and our skins dont get infected so often. The tank has to be refilled each day..so I agree with earlier assessor about flawed information on inane three nights lacking big fill up. But no leakage. I like the way it looks and stands. It is important to follow directions on the manufactured goods- do not move the manufactured goods with filled tank..the weight of fill up tank can produce tribulations and leakage from seals. It has been 3 weeks and we are enjoying it so far...
