I've been using this humidifier for more than a year now, and have been very happy with it. It's very quiet for the baby's room, and I haven't had a conundrum with the white dust, even if it's not on 24-7.In rank: be sure to empty and fill up the tank and base daily if doable to keep the filter in good shape. I was a modest disappointed that they don't offer substitution parts for it. I'll quest for a used one so I can keep using it. I am able to find filters for it sweet basically at the place of hold- Meijer (a Michigan chain).If I can't find a substitution tank, I will doubtless by a new one just like it.

The humidifier works well, it's very calm down. I bought this last year and when I took it out this chill to use it, the smell was very much disgusting! I can't find a replacement filter any in case that's what is causing it. I can't use it with the awful smell.

Our child gets asthma and croup starting colds, so having a good humidifier was essential to keep his airway open. This was our third and closing humidifier. After wasting our money on cheapo humidifiers that stopped working after a couple months, and that were awkward to impart and convey lacking spilling and to assemble correctly to get on to going, this humidifer worked like a charm. Sometimes there is a slight medicinal smell in the room in the daylight, but it's not overwhelming, or that different starting any other humidifier. We purchased this for a 7-month old baby's room that is often very dry. Have owned a Holmes cold-mist humidifier in the past, but were looking for something quieter. We have had this for about 3 weeks, and it is working very well - quiet, the mist stream and needle set up is nice, let you point the visible mist away from walls. Best thing is that it IS much quieter than the cold-mist humidifiers we have tried/used in the past.One short-coming: no humidistat, so we have to manually turn it off - this is a bit of a pain late at nighttime.

We've been very happy with this humidifier. The cool mist is very fine, so it feels more "misty" and less "damp" or "rainy" than some other humidifiers we've tried. The reins over how much or little mist it produces are effectual, and it's very quiet. Even if this manufactured goods is a little more high-priced than some other types of humidifiers, it's worth it. I know numerous broadcast whose babies have been burned by warm mist humdifiers, and they also tend to breed bacteria, neither of which is a appeal with this manufactured goods. Also even if we formerly bought a cheaper humidifier, it twisted out not to be as inexpensive as we first planning since we kept having to exchange the wick and it promptly broke. Like some of the other people reviewing this piece, ours developed a bad odor after a month of use. I have cleaned the thing thoroughly according to the instructions, but it subdue smells bad. I cannot find the replacement filter anywhere. It's extremely good at producing mist, but the room gets saturated including the odor. It's the last time I'll buy a Vicks product.
