What can I say, it's a solenoid valve? I looked-for a new one as my humidifier wasn't permanently rotary on, and the solenoid tested bad. Bought this, replaced it, now it works fair. I do appreciate that you can rotate the mounting bracket to any position you need, in view of the fact that I had to turn it 180 degrees to get it to fit correctly to my humidifier. I'd buy it again (and probably will after a further 7 years causes this one to conk out!)
