We were fortunate with this humidifier for a fleeting even as, after 4 months, it does not work any longer, no set alight, no potential, no warm mist. The warm mist is best than additional types for few reasons:- Less microorganisms, the fill up boils before to being paid into the air- No emergency part, filter to buy each so evenly...- In chill, the warm mist warms your room as well, so you need less heat.- Calm down, I do again QUIET. No like the fan equipment.Too bad this manufactured goods is of such poor feature that after 4 month of set alight treatment, it is dead. The manufactured goods is manufactured by Kaz, and the warranty is sweet much a dissipate of time as you have to pay for shipping and send a $10 try out!!! What kind of warranty is that? So, to sum up my in rank, buy a warm mist humidifier, but not this strain.

This humidifier worked for 24 hours, at that calculate would not bring about at all.

2/02/06 This humidifier didn't work correctly from the start. It would run a link hours and shut itself off leaving a red light intermittent, and the humidistat never did seem to work. After a link weeks of use the humidifier stopped working absolutely. Terrible product.UPDATE 2/27/06:Substitution humidifier indoors from Kaz. I unpacked it & found someone's used humidifier which still had medicine residue in the medicine cup! I filled it with water, plugged it in and...not anything. No lights or anything. A additional call to Kaz customer benefit and they said no, I shouldn't have expected a used unit, blah blah blah. Anyway, I'm held to ship this back for a substitution. They said they'll compensate my shipping (but won't issue a call tag) and said I can ask for a different model humidifier as substitution. We'll see. When I returned my defective humidifier I had built-in a letter requesting a different model and as a substitution for they sent me this used piece of trash...UPDATE 4/12/06:Expected a additional substitution humidifier from Kaz. This one is a Honeywell HWM-255. Fortunately, this one appears to be brand new. Sorry to say, this model is rated 2.5/5 stars on Amazon and it sounds like it suffers from the same unreliability problems the HWM-330 suffers from. I truly don't know why Honeywell allows their name to be used on these. I am glad just to finally get a new substitution humidifier, but I will never knowingly buy a product manufactured by or sold by Kaz again.

Unfortunately, my experience was the same as most other reviewers. I only got two months use out of the unit before it stopped working completely: no mist, lights or potential. Honeywell makes wonderful humidifiers, but this develop is a complete dud.I have a couple of tips for other unfortunate souls who are about to restore this horrible humidifier. A rep from KAZ told me to send the unit in to their Restore Sphere and they would exchange it at no cost (although I have to pay for the shipping to KAZ). If you're returning one of these units, be sure to tell the rep to do the following: waive the $10 warranty fee, and send a uncommon develop of humidifier as a substitution. The rep I spoke to had no problem with either of these requests. Now, I'll just have to wait and see if they stay on-thru on a good substitution.

Visibly a lot of broadcast have had problems with this unit. When mine disastrous with about 6 weeks of use, I dug into it to see what was up. It ends up that the overheat safeguard on this business isn't real splendid. The first layer of overheat safeguard is provided by a sensor integrated into the heating element. I can't tell just so, but it seems from the element manufacturer's journalism (....) that the device sends a cut off indicate between 250 and 300 C, per the chart on page 4. However, Honeywell used an NEC-Schott SF214E thermal cutoff as a endorsement device. This fails everlastingly if it's heated to 214 C. In additional terms, the endorsement, "sacrifice the machine and not the house it's in" device fails before the normal surgical procedure re-settable thermal cutoff. As a result, the device will doubtless stop working the first time it runs dry. Don't buy it.

This is a pathetic defense for a manufactured goods. Didn't flush continue three weeks. Just quit effective including no way to fix. To claim the warranty, the manufacturer desires the consumer to pay to ship the item back, PLUS AN EXTRA $10 "HANDLING" FEE! I'm by now out $50 for a defective manufactured goods, why should I lose flush more gambling that the next unit will bring about? This is vacant out to the gibberish!

Of four units including the intention of were sent, three disastrous including lone or two nights' aid. Don't bother.

I bought a new Honeywell Quicksteam (HWM-330) numerous months ago from a local store, to aid keep our bedroom at a comfortable humidity. The humidifier worked well enough, but less than a week after we had been using it, the unit wouldn't turn on again the daylight after we used it.We suspected the problem was that the unit burned out after having used up its water supply during the night. To their credit, Honeywell sent us a brand new unit after we sent the broken one back to them. But once again, the new unit died after running out of water overnight, less than a week after we had received our second unit.It would be one thing if they had advertised the unit as NOT having an auto shut-rancid feature. In that case, we never would have purchased it; however, we've had two units go to meet your maker after less than two weeks of CUMULATIVE use, and for the same reason. As such, I fervently recommend AGAINST purchasing this humidifier.

I've been conceited in this vicinity my humidifier pro a even as, just love it. Though, approximately of the issues I reflect it over others are having look to occur early the detail including the intention of this humidifier does look to be inflicted including approximately design issues including the intention of can get on to it tricky to aid if you're not austere. Pro model, the terminals on top of the dishonest including the intention of supporter the batter part of the element call for to pause dried made known. If you get on to them wet as cleaning the element, it won't curve on in anticipation of the dishonest dries made known. Be austere as cleaning not to get on to the terminals wet! Also, get on to guaranteed the element is meeting on a flat exhaust go up, no sloping as this may yield leaking. I believe including the intention of approximately may be putting their units on floors including the intention of are a cut-rate amount of than flat exhaust, causing the leak. Also, as background up the element, set the dishonest on the floor (or wherever you aspire it) at the initiation lacking fill up, at that calculate deposit the fill up reservoir on the element...no leaking. As far away as cleaning, each week or so, take made known the pad and decline it into approximately white vinegar including a release just any drops of improve to clean painstakingly and dissipate any masonry boost (which is nominal or fictional). You can get on to loads of uses made known of a release pad this road. Sterile the element including the constant key and the reservoir including a modest improve to clean painstakingly including the intention of excessively. Mind persons terminals! Care for them dried made known. As you deposit the element in trade collectively get on to guaranteed all is seated water supply. If it doesn't curve on aptly dead you force just call for to shake to and fro the adjoin a piece or get behind not effective to re-seat it by the book. If you got the terminals wet, consent to the element dried made known made known before to rotary it on.Including a modest bother this is a fine element! Basically the most excellent I've always owned, and I've been owing to a release just any.

I have a newer develop, 3 gallon, HMWM-331. After going through 3 other brands with very indigent results this season, this one is a winner! Very quiet (no gurgling); it will not disturb an infant or a set alight sleeper, as opposed to the Bionaire and others, well-organized and easy to clean. So far, no mineral build-up, even though our water is quite tricky. It uses disposable mineral interest pads. The only inconvenience is filling the tank- it doesn't sit flat and you call for to support at an slant. but that is really minor, given the quiet well-organized operation and attractive design. Low price too. This is the best we've ever had. The phone support is also good. Kaz works for many brands and they are quite responsive, even though many of the brands aren't very good. I definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a very quiet warm mist unit for a median-size room.
