Air King 9915 3-Speed Recirculating Humidifier Reviews

Got this for my generous bedroom in view of the fact that it gets so dry in the chill. Works well and doesn't leak, which was key.

I owned the same develop that was made by Lasko. It worked for two being, but I figured that was an OK life span for a humidifier. Lasko discontinued the line so bought this Air King. Worked splendid for in this area two months then then it bunged recirculating - a BIG disappointment! Too late to restore it to Amazon...

This was a hunk of junk and I must have sent it back aptly away. Had a problem with the water tank leaking and messed up my wood floors in a spot before I caught it. JUNK!

It does a rational job of putting dampness in trade into the air but if you house it at Level 3 all nocturnal, your nose and your respiratory logic will smell be fond of metal all day! I'm serious. Thumbs down on this item.

I'm awarding three stars in check over of the fact including the intention of the construction of this cut seems to some extent indigent AND in check over of the fact including the intention of one of the hoses was disconnected.Due to the disconnected fill up, fill up was sputtering out of the top all night, leave-compelling me including a wet carpet.Including attaching the fill up, Air Ruler is calm down and boosting damp in my dry-as-a-bone 15% damp apartment construction.Skilled Good luck!

I expected this manufactured goods less than two months ago, and now the motor has burned out. I'm tiresome to get in supporter with the companionship owing to the yrs warranty, but that hasn't been flourishing. I can't judge this, I actually liked this manufactured goods. I to the top it up and went out shopping, when I got back home I found the smell of burned metal. I went into the bedroom and the and the smell was stronger, and my phone wasn't effective. The phone is on the same path as the humidifier, and since of the humidifier burning out; it flip the surf batter. Which actually confined my house while I was gone, but I was so shocked. I couldn't judge this happened. I'm so disappointed with this manufactured goods, so disappointed.

I got this and the manufactured goods itself facility fine but what I didn't estimate is that when you put it on carpet that the fill up tray will build saving and soak into the carpet. I refined up having to dry my carpet for 4 days and the fill up leaked into the celing of my examine downstairs. Just make sure when by this that you have it on a hard go up or put it in a leak water-resistant tub.

This is the best humidifier we've had since replacing a wornout Holmes that no longer is manufactured. It's very quiet on the lowest setting & not that much noisier on the two higher settings. Like the cascading waterfall signal effects, too.

This thing worked okay at initially but I had to dry the carpet on numerous occasions! Don't buy this unless you want to have your carpets cleaned each calculate you use it! The Vicks $14 ones work just as good!!

I have used this humidifier for about a month now. In the winter I tend to get very dry skin and nasal congestion, which ordinarily turns into a full-blown cold, if I sleep in cool, dry winter air. My wife and I decided to try a humidifier to see if it would help. Here is my impression of the Air King so far:Unadorned construction--not anything fancy here. The unit in the end consists of a small thrilling water pump that pulls the water up into the unit and wets an evaporative pad. A fan then sucks air owing to the back of the humidifier, owing to the evaporative pad, and out the top to humidify the air. Not anything fancy, but the bottom line is that it works. One very nice feature is that the water pump pulls enough water to saturate the evaporative pad and the extra is recirculated owing to the unit, making it less likely for nasty stuff to build up in the tank. The humidifier has 3 speed settings, with no auto-on/off capability. We everlastingly run it on the lowest background, which is relatively quiet and does a decent job of humidifying the air. The two higher settings are louder and yield more dampness, but the lowest background is fine for us (1100 sq. ft. apartment). The low background is positively energy efficient for a humidifier. Since this is an evaporative humidifier, it uses much less energy than one that creates steam with a heating element. In the end, you're powering a small fan and a small thrilling water pump, which uses 22.7 watts on the lowest background, according to the education manual (I have not veteran that digit). So if you're in succession the unit overnight on low, it uses about 1/3 the electricity of leaving a 60 watt light bulb on overnight. The unit has a tank room of 1.75 gallons. On the peak background, the users manual says it will put 3 gallons into the air over a 24-hour period. I have not run the humidifier much on the peak background, but their 3 gallon claim seems about right. On the lowest background, we ordinarily refill the unit once in the daylight and once before bed to make sure it doesn't run out of water. We use filtered water (Brita) since it helps lower mineral deposits and keeps the water smelling fresh. It also must lower the digit of times you have to exchange the evaporative pad. After one month of operation, we have cleaned the evaporative pad twice by soaking it in a water/white vinegar key, which has vacant off most of the mineral deposits. My guess from our experience is that with heavy use, an evaporative pad must be replaced unevenly once every 45 days. The Air King evaporative pads are void for order on the internet for unevenly $5-$8 a piece. In synopsis:A lot of information in this assess, but that's since when I was looking for humidifiers I didn't think there was enough information void about these equipment to make an well-informed declaration. Given that uncertainty, I didn't want to spend $200+ on a touch and not like it or have it break in the first month. So I looked for a reasonable, less expensive model and decided to give this one a shot. I don't unhappiness my declaration at all. This unit has just so what I was looking for: low hold price, low maintenance cost and try, low energy use, quiet operation, good humidification for 1100 square feet, and so far, it hasn't kaput. If you're looking for those equipment, this humidifier is a solid scale.
